T.R.A.C.K.S. A review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 Episode 13

It is still early on and not too late to get into this show. Like I said in my recap the other day, it isn’t perfect but I am loving it personally. Last nights episode had me sitting at the edge of my seat for most of it. It started off a little slow but boy did it finish hard.

Now I did a season recap the other day but here is a little more just show you know what is going on. We found out that Skye is actually not only an orphan but also a 0-8-4 which is S.H.I.E.L.D. code for an object of unknown origin. As of right now only Skye, Coulson, and May know but it haunting Skye. May and Ward have been having sex on and off. They keep saying it is nothing but sex but I worry Ward is starting to catch feelings. The team is now on the hunt for the mysterious Clairvoyant, who seems to be pulling all the strings. In hopes of he might lead them to the Clairvoyant the team starts trying to pin down Ian Quinn. It is time to go undercover!

Cybertek is currently moving something on a train across Italy for Quinn. While Quinn himself will not be on the train, S.H.I.E.L.D. believes that he will be delivered the package directly. Every thing on the train starts off well but the team quickly learns that they were sold out. While Ward, Coulson, and May get off the train the others are stuck on it. Using the same technology used in the Night-Night Gun the enemy has made a grenade. Simmons gets knocked out on the train which leaves Skye and Fitz to track down the package. While this does lead them to Quinn they have no backup. Convinced not to let Quinn get away again, Skye goes in alone while Fitz takes out the bad guy’s cars.

Now Skye gets pretty far in for being a rookie on her own. She eventually finds the package and also finds Mike Peterson, who the team thought was dead. He has been fitted with one of the robotic eyes we have seen in past episodes. The package also turns out to be a new leg for Peterson! Which looks pretty awesome. He is now taking forced orders from the Clairvoyant. Skye is found out by Quinn who lets Peterson go to complete his mission there. Quinn turns to Skye and shoots her twice, leaving her to bleed out. Peterson takes out the Cybertek people and leaves. Coulson and the others find Fitz and capture Quinn. However when they find Skye she is on the edge of life. They quickly place her in the hyperbaric chamber that Peterson was in. This buys them time but they are not out of the woods yet. Back on the plane the team starts to lose it. Skye might have started out as a stranger but the team has come to love her and consider her one of their own even if other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents don’t. The episode ends with Peterson asking to see his son. When told no the camera zooms in on his leg to show that is says, “Project Deathlok”.

I don’t think they can or will kill of Skye but I am worried. I was wondering if they were going to have her have some sort of healing ability. I really don’t know what they will do since she is an 0-8-4. I wonder if that will cause problems. Also hearing the word Deathlok isn’t that comforting either. I liked Mike and I don’t want him to become a killing machine! I guess I will have to wait until the show returns on March 4th.

Also Stan Lee made an appearance in last nights episode and did a fantastic job! The whole scene was absolute gold. Which included Simmons acting like Coulson’s daughter and spilling her mother’s ashes on someone from Cybertek.
